3. Second Language (if applicable): For those with less than four years of high school second language education.

Second Year: Diving Deeper into Biological Sciences
Building on the foundation of the first year, the second year delves into more specialized coursework:

2. Sociology of Sport and Physical Culture (KINS 250): Examining the social aspects of sports and physical activity.

Third Year: Specialization and Preparation for Application

2. Complete Outstanding Biology Requirement: Ensure the completion of either BIOL 351 or 362.

6. General Education Credits: Remaining credits in PA, PH, PL, PP, D, G categories must be completed.
Preparing for PT School and Beyond
1. Prerequisite Courses for PT School: Successfully complete all St. Ambrose Physical Therapy School prerequisite courses at Augustana.
2. Observation Hours: Document a minimum of 20 hours (50 hours recommended) of observation with a licensed physical therapist in at least two different settings.
3. PTCAS Application: Apply through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) by December 1 of the third year.
4. GRE Scores: Complete and submit GRE scores to St. Ambrose.
5. Petition for Graduation and Credit Transfer: If attending St. Ambrose PT program for the fourth year, students must petition to graduate from Augustana and transfer credits accordingly.
6. Return Plan: In case of non-acceptance into the PT program after the third year, students can return to Augustana to complete their degree.
