Jessica is an award winner!

Jessica Estes ‘17, was awarded the Coalition for Women’s Identities Outstanding Emerging Professional Award by ACPA

The American College Personnel Association (ACPA) is an professional association recognized for its leadership in addressing issues and trends in student affairs within the context of higher education.

This year, Jessica Estes ‘17, was awarded the Coalition for Women’s Identities Outstanding Emerging Professional Award by ACPA for her contributions to Augustana and the profession for supporting, developing, and empowering the spectrum of women- and female-identified people and those in solidarity with us through advocacy and activism, engaging community, and scholarship.  Jessica has made contributions that have positively impacted her Career Development & Vocation as well as the Augustana community for her leadership, programs, and support of women across campus.

Jessica is the lead for shepherding Augustana women through PLEN, a program for female students to experience first-hand how public policy is shaped and implemented at the national level and prepare to become the next generation of public policy decision makers. Jessica serves as a Career Coach for students seeking opportunities and careers in Arts & Entertainment; Education; Law, Government, & Public Administration; and Social Services & Non-Profit.

Jessica completed her Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel Administration and a graduate certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois; Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing, Augustana College, Rock Island Illinois.
