Job Title: Development Intern (Fall 2026)
Location: Beverly Hills, CA (In Office)
Reports To: Senior Manager, Development and Events
Hours: Part-time (10 – 20 hours per week)
Compensation: Hourly

About the Feminist Majority Foundation

The Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF), founded in 1987, is dedicated to women’s equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. FMF advocates for the political, economic, and social equality of women through research, grassroots organizing, public education programs, and leadership development. We run innovative campaigns on issues ranging from reproductive justice and global women’s rights to ending gender-based violence and promoting diversity in leadership.

Position Overview

The Development Intern will play an integral role in supporting FMF’s fundraising initiatives during Fall 2026. This position offers hands-on experience in donor research, prospecting, event planning, and nonprofit administration. The intern will gain exposure to high-level fundraising strategies that sustain FMF’s national advocacy and programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct donor and prospect research to identify new funding opportunities.
  • Assist with outreach, tracking, and follow-up for gala sponsors and donors.
  • Support event logistics including guest list management, communications materials, and on-site support.
  • Draft and proofread donor acknowledgments, sponsorship materials, and event correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and assist with database management.
  • Provide administrative support to the development team, including scheduling, filing, and preparation for meetings.
  • Creation of graphics and promotional materials for events, emails, donor materials, and fundraisers.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to feminist values, gender equity, and social justice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Google Workspace; Canva and database/CRM experience a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn about nonprofit fundraising and advocacy.
  • Strong phone skills for frequent cold calling and follow-up calls
