Vocational Exploration
Have you ever asked yourself:
- What should I do when I grow up?
- How can I do something that makes a difference in the world?
- Am I choosing the right major?
- Am I being the best person for my family?
You are not alone!
These types of questions might be referred to as types of questions about our vocation. Vocation includes the whole life of a person and is not simply an occupation.
Vocation involves all of life’s relationships (i.e. employee, student, neighbor, parent, friend, brother, sister, daughter, son) and how you use and discover your unique skills, gifts, talents, passions and values to meet the needs of the world.
Vocational exploration involves intentional thinking, acting, and reflecting on these questions as we move through each stage of life.
