Internship Registration Procedures

All internships (EXCEPT Education majors completing their student teaching) are registered through the Assistant Director of Internships in CORE. You can set up an internship registration meeting on Handshake. Internships are not registered on Arches.

When you set up your internship registration meeting, you’ll be asked for your internship title, address/location, and your supervisor or recruiter’s name and email. This email address must be an official company email address, NOT a personal email address.

Internships will be verified by a CORE staff member. In order to be verified:

  • You’ll need to bring one of the following to your registration meeting:
    • Your offer letter on company letterhead outlining the position responsibilities
    • A position description from a verified source (e.g., company website, Indeed, LinkedIn, Handshake)
    • A confirmation email from an official organization email address (not a personal email account)
  • Internship contact information must include an official company email address (not a personal email account)
    • International internships may be exempted if they meet the other criteria
  • The internship site must have an internet presence (website, active social media) or a verified business ID
  • The internship address must appear as a business on mapping sites
