Iowa Cancer Summit
The Iowa Cancer Consortium is proud to host the Iowa Cancer Summit, Iowa’s only comprehensive cancer control conference on Monday, November 6th, in Ankeny, IA, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with a virtual option also available.
The Iowa Cancer Summit is a great opportunity for students interested in cancer, public health, research, healthcare, and policy to learn about current issues facing Iowans and to network with state and national experts. Conference sessions will cover a variety of topics, including:
– Cervical cancer
– Diversifying Iowa’s cancer control workforce
– Early onset colorectal cancer
– Head and neck cancer
– HPV vaccination
– LGBTQ+ inclusive care
Our in-person student registration rate is only $30. Breakfast, lunch, and a light snack will be provided to attendees throughout the day. Learn more and register at https://canceriowa.org/summit.
We also encourage students to stay for the ACS CAN Iowa 2023 Policy Reception from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. At this event they will hear from survivors, researchers, public health advocates, and legislative leaders about decreasing barriers to care in Iowa. Registration for the policy reception is free and includes an hors d’oeuvres reception. Separate registration is required.
