If you have a summer internship in sports business, consider applying for the Matt and Mindy McSparin Sports Business Award! A stipend of approximately $2,000 will provide support for an unpaid internship for a student of any major to explore the sports business industry as a future career. Internships that will be considered include professional, collegiate or amateur sports organization (not high school); sport event management or marketing or related field; sport management, sports agent, or sports marketing agency or related field.
Qualifications for the award are:
- Overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Junior standing or above (60+ credits at beginning of internship); full-time student.
- Unpaid internship during the summer of 2026—internship must be secured at the time of application
- Internship placement within continental USA
