Here’s a quick guide to help you get started this year:
1. Staying in Your Current Role
If you’d like to continue in the same position, check in with your departmental coordinator or supervisor. They’ll confirm if you’re eligible to stay on and walk you through any updates for the year.
2. Applying for New Positions
Looking for something different? All student employment opportunities are posted on Handshake.

3. Pay & Work Time
Student employee pay ranges from $10.25 to $11.50 per hour, depending on the role.
- Domestic students: We encourage you to work no more than 10 hours/week during the term
- International students: You may work up to 19 hours/week during the term
- Breaks & summer: You may be eligible to work up to 40 hours/week if your supervisor allows

4. First-Time On-Campus Workers
If this is your first time working at Augustana, welcome! Before you can start, you’ll need to complete the employment verification process.
- You must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits)
