Program Overview
The award-winning Internship Preparation Program will be held virtually from January 7-9, 2025. The program launches Black/African American and other racial/ethnic minority college students into the accounting profession with access to training, resources, and mentors. At the end of the program, accounting firms interview students for a variety of paid internships that could lead to full-time jobs.
Requirements
- Available to attend the program virtually from January 7-9, 2025
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident
- Illinois Resident or non-Illinois Resident who is enrolled in a college in Illinois
- Racial/ethnic minority currently underrepresented in the accounting profession (e.g. Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, etc.)
- Enrolled in college as an undergraduate student with a 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent
- Currently or interested in majoring in accounting (completion of an introductory accounting course is preferred)
- Have not already completed an internship or committed to an accounting firm and have not already participated in this program
