Explore Majors & Careers: Tools to Help You Design Your Path at Augustana

At Augustana, students have multiple opportunities to explore who they are, what they enjoy, and how they want to live that out in the world. Whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to change direction, there’s room for you and your decision-making process here. We provide resources to help you discover your strengths, align them with your passions, and design a life that meets both your goals and the needs of the world around you.

Intentional Exploration: A Path to Discovery

Exploring your future involves intentional thinking, acting, and reflecting as you navigate different stages of life. It’s about asking yourself key questions: What am I good at? What excites me? What can I offer the world? These reflections can guide your decisions, whether you’re still identifying your interests, or have already narrowed down your career options but are unsure of your next steps.

Perhaps one of these describe where you are in your exploration:

  • I don’t know what I’m interested in
  • I know what I like but don’t know how to connect it with next steps
  • I have decided on a direction but is it the right choice?
  • Doing meaningful work is important to me, how can I make community connections?

We’ve updated our Explore Majors & Careers page to give you some activities to start based on where you are.
