Student Affairs 101 is a one-day conference hosted by student affairs programs across Illinois including Western Illinois University, Illinois State University, Eastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Student Affairs 101 provides an introduction and exploration of the values, practices, and experiences of student affairs professionals. It also offers valuable insights into the graduate school process for prospective students. The conference welcomes undergraduate students, graduate students, professionals, and faculty who are passionate about student affairs and enhancing the college student experience.
Learning Opportunities: Attend program sessions to explore various aspects of student affairs. Prospective students will learn the field’s fundamentals and grad school basics, while current students and professionals will tackle key topics and boost their professional development experiences. Keynote Speaker: Dr. MarQuita Barker, Vice President of Student Development at Knox College, invites you to join her and your peers for a discussion on how to grow in the field of student affairs. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience Dr. Barker’s exceptional keynote presentation.
Prospective Students: Prospective graduate students can explore the field, discover career opportunities, understand the graduate school experience, and get details about the admissions process. They will also attend the Graduate Panel and Fair.
