As the school year ends, Augustana College is getting ready to celebrate its students’ hard work with the Viking Score Banquet. This event is a big deal for graduating seniors who’ve earned at least 100 Viking Score points by May 3rd, 2024. It’s a way to honor their efforts and accomplishments during their time at the college. But what’s a Viking Score, and why does it matter? Well, it’s more than just a number. It shows how well students have done in their classes and activities at Augustana. Earning a high Viking Score means students have worked hard and stayed involved on campus.
Getting to that 100-point mark isn’t easy, but it comes with rewards along the way. Students can earn things like stickers, t-shirts, and even money for campus spending. And when they reach 100 points, they get a special cord to wear at graduation and an invite to the banquet.
On May 8th, 2024, the Gerber Center will be buzzing with excitement as students and their guests come together to celebrate. There’ll be good food, good company, and lots of stories shared about the journey to this moment. But the banquet isn’t just about fancy stuff—it’s about recognizing the hard work and support that got students here. It’s a chance to thank teachers, friends, and family for helping along the way.
So, here’s to the graduating seniors of Augustana College, who’ve shown what it means to work hard and dream big. As they get ready to move on to new adventures, let’s raise a toast to their achievements and the bright futures ahead. Go Vikings!
